Day 1: Pick-up and Hargeisa City Tour

Pick-up from the airport and transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you will explore Hargeisa, the vibrant capital of Somaliland. After a rest, enjoy a walk in the city center to experience daily life and meet the friendly locals in this bustling market city.

Day 2: Hargeisa – Laas Geel – Berbera

In the early morning, explore key sites in Hargeisa, including the Civil War Memorial, featuring the iconic crashed MIG fighter jet, and the Central Market, a lively hub of local trade.
Later, visit Laas Geel, one of Africa’s most significant rock art sites, famous for its vibrant, well-preserved cave paintings estimated to be over 5,000 years old. These ancient artworks depict pastoral life, sacred rituals, and wild animals.
Continue the drive to Berbera, a historic port city on the Gulf of Aden. In Berbera, relax at the beach or enjoy a swim at Berbera Beach, known for its clear waters and soft sands. The Maansoor Hotel also offers snorkeling gear, diving options, and boat rides.

Day 3: Berbera – Sheikh – Burao

After breakfast, take a city tour of Berbera, especially the Old Quarter, showcasing Ottoman-era and British colonial architecture, along with historic mosques reflecting Berbera’s rich maritime history.
Then drive to Sheikh, a charming mountain town offering spectacular views and a cool climate. The Sheikh Mountains provide a scenic drive through lush highlands.
Continue to Burao, the second-largest city in Somaliland, known for its livestock market — one of the biggest in the Horn of Africa.

Day 4: Burao – Erigavo

After breakfast, take a short walk in Burao to explore the markets and get a feel for the local atmosphere.
Then set off on a long drive to Erigavo, the capital of the Sanaag Region, known for its remote location and as a gateway to the Daallo Mountains.
Overnight: Andaluse Hotel, Erigavo or similar

Day 5: Erigavo – Daallo Mountains – Erigavo

After breakfast, visit the Daallo Mountains, often called the “Green Paradise of Somaliland.” The area features thick forests and is home to diverse flora and fauna. The mountain range rises over 2,400 meters, offering stunning panoramic views and a cooler climate.
Return to Erigavo for the night.

Day 6: Erigavo – Burao

After breakfast, enjoy some free time in Erigavo, and then begin the long drive back to Burao. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel for a relaxing evening.

Day 7: Burao – Hargeisa

After breakfast, drive back to Hargeisa. Depending on your arrival time, you may have an opportunity to explore more of the city or visit local markets for souvenirs.
Overnight: Damal Hotel, Hargeisa

Day 8: Departure from Hargeisa

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure.
