This journey is a sensory immersion into the heart of Ethiopia, seamlessly blending modern industry with ancient landscapes. It begins in Addis Ababa, where you’ll go behind the scenes of a world-class coffee roastery to witness the “Green Gold” transition from raw bean to export-ready roast. This industrial deep dive is balanced by the panoramic heights of the Entoto Mountains and the volcanic crater lakes of Bishoftu, where private boat cruises offer a serene escape from the urban bustle.

Venturing south into the Great Rift Valley, the landscape opens into sun-drenched savannas and alkaline lakes. From the hippo-filled waters of Lake Ziway to the copper shores of Langano, you will witness a birdwatcher’s paradise and the raw beauty of Abijatta-Shalla National Park. The adventure is punctuated by moments of pure relaxation, whether soaking in the therapeutic hot springs of Wondo Genet or enjoying the lakeside luxury of Hawassa.

The final chapters of the expedition lead to the misty highlands of the Dorze people, famous for their unique elephant-shaped bamboo architecture, and the majestic waters of Arba Minch. A thrilling boat safari on Lake Chamo brings you face-to-face with Africa’s largest Nile crocodiles and hippos, providing a grand finale to a week of discovery. Returning to the capital by air, you leave with a profound connection to the flavors, wildlife and soul of the Rift Valley.
