Day 01: Arrival in Hargeisa – City Tour & Laas Geel Rock Art

Welcome to Hargeisa, the capital of Somaliland. Upon arrival at Hargeisa Egal International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide and transferred to begin your sightseeing tour. Visit the vibrant Hargeisa Central Market, one of the largest markets in the Horn of Africa, where you can experience local life and browse traditional handicrafts, textiles, spices, and souvenirs. Continue to the famous War Memorial, featuring the iconic MiG fighter jet, before driving to the remarkable Laas Geel Rock Art Complex, home to some of Africa’s finest and best-preserved prehistoric cave paintings dating back more than 5,000 years. Return to Hargeisa in the evening for a traditional Somali dinner. Overnight in Hargeisa.

Day 02: Berbera Excursion & Departure

After an early breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive through the Golis Mountains to the historic coastal city of Berbera on the Gulf of Aden. Explore the charming old town with its Ottoman and colonial-era architecture, visit the bustling Port of Berbera, and relax along the beautiful sandy beaches. Enjoy a delicious seafood lunch overlooking the Gulf of Aden before returning to Hargeisa. Depending on your flight schedule, transfer to Hargeisa Egal International Airport for your departure flight, bringing your unforgettable Somaliland adventure to a close.
