Day 01: Addis Ababa – Hawassa
After breakfast, depart Addis Ababa and drive south through the picturesque Ethiopian Rift Valley to the beautiful lakeside city of Hawassa. Along the way, stop at Abijatta-Shalla National Park, famous for its stunning alkaline lakes, volcanic scenery, and numerous bird species. Continue to Hawassa and enjoy a relaxing walk along the lakeshore, where you may observe hippos and a variety of water birds before settling into your hotel.

Day 02: Hawassa – Dorze Village – Arba Minch
After breakfast, continue to Arba Minch, passing colorful villages and fertile farmlands. En route, visit the traditional Dorze Village, renowned for its remarkable bamboo beehive-shaped houses and exceptional weaving traditions. Learn about the Dorze people’s unique culture and their staple food made from the Enset (False Banana) plant. Arrive in Arba Minch and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere overlooking the twin Rift Valley lakes.

Day 03: Arba Minch – Lake Chamo – Konso – Turmi
Begin the day with an exciting boat excursion on Lake Chamo, where enormous Nile crocodiles, hippos, and abundant birdlife can be observed at close range. Continue your journey to the UNESCO-listed Konso Village, famous for its impressive stone terraces and distinctive cultural traditions. After exploring Konso, drive through scenic landscapes to Turmi, home of the colorful Hamer people.

Day 04: Turmi – Omorate – Turmi
Today visit Omorate, where you will cross the Omo River by traditional wooden canoe to meet the fascinating Dassanech people. Return to Turmi and spend the afternoon exploring a Hamer village, learning about their traditions, colorful attire, and unique way of life. If your visit coincides with the famous Bull Jumping Ceremony, you may have the opportunity to witness this extraordinary cultural celebration.

Day 05: Turmi – Karo Village – Jinka
After breakfast, travel to Korcho Village, home of the Karo people, celebrated for their elaborate body painting and spectacular location overlooking the Omo River. Capture unforgettable photographs while learning about one of Ethiopia’s smallest ethnic communities. Continue through beautiful landscapes to Jinka.

Day 06: Jinka – Mursi Village – Konso
This morning, drive into Mago National Park to visit the famous Mursi Tribe, known worldwide for the distinctive lip plates worn by many of their women. Experience their unique traditions before departing the Omo Valley and returning to Konso, where you can relax after an enriching cultural journey.

Day 07: Konso – Yabello
Continue south through the Borana region to Yabello, passing open savannahs, traditional Borana settlements, and acacia woodlands. Discover the fascinating Borana culture, renowned for its traditional Gadaa governance system and remarkable singing wells.

Day 08: Yabello – Bale Goba
After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive northeast toward the lush highlands of Bale Goba. The landscape gradually transforms from dry savannah to fertile farmland and cool mountain scenery as you approach Bale Mountains National Park.

Day 09: Sanetti Plateau – Bale Mountains National Park
Spend the day exploring the spectacular Sanetti Plateau, one of Africa’s highest alpine roads at over 4,000 meters above sea level. Search for the rare and endangered Ethiopian Wolf, Mountain Nyala, Ethiopian Highland Hare, and numerous endemic bird species while enjoying breathtaking panoramic views across the Afro-alpine moorlands.

Day 10: Harenna Forest Exploration
Today descend into the magical Harenna Forest, one of Ethiopia’s largest cloud forests. Walk beneath towering wild trees draped with moss while searching for black-and-white colobus monkeys, Bale monkeys, forest birds, and, with a bit of luck, elusive leopards. The dramatic contrast between the alpine plateau and dense rainforest makes this one of Ethiopia’s most unique ecosystems.

Day 11: Bale Mountains – Langano
Depart the Bale Mountains and drive through the scenic Ethiopian Highlands toward Lake Langano, one of Ethiopia’s most popular freshwater lakes. Enjoy the peaceful lakeside environment and relax after your mountain adventure.

Day 12: Langano – Addis Ababa
