3 Days Bale Mountain National Park Trekking

Day 01: Addis Ababa – Bale Mountains
After breakfast, depart from Addis Ababa and drive to the Bale Mountains National Park. In the afternoon, enjoy a short hike around the park headquarters at Dinsho, where you may spot Ethiopia’s endemic mammals such as the Mountain Nyala and Menelik’s Bushbuck, along with a variety of endemic forest birds.

Day 02: Sanetti Plateau and Harenna Forest (100 km / 6–7 hrs.)
Today, embark on a full-day excursion to the Sanetti Plateau, the highest plateau in Africa. With some luck, you may encounter the rare and endangered Ethiopian Wolf, the world’s most threatened canid. Continue southward to explore the lush Harenna Forest, Ethiopia’s second-largest forest, home to unique wildlife, towering trees, and abundant birdlife.

Day 03: Bale Mountains – Addis Ababa – Departure
After breakfast, drive back to Addis Ababa. In the evening, enjoy a farewell folkloric dinner featuring a variety of traditional Ethiopian dishes, live cultural music, and vibrant dances representing different ethnic groups. Conclude your journey with the famous Ethiopian coffee ceremony before being transferred to the airport for your departure.
