Day 01: Addis Ababa – Chebera Churchura National Park

After breakfast, drive southwest from Addis Ababa to Chebera Churchura National Park, one of Ethiopia’s most remarkable wildlife destinations. The scenic journey passes through beautiful highland landscapes, rural villages, and lush forests before arriving at the park. In the afternoon, enjoy your first Game Drive, searching for African elephants, buffalo, hippos, lions, leopards, and numerous antelope species. The park is also home to an impressive variety of birdlife, making it a paradise for birdwatchers. As the sun sets, relax at your lodge surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 02: Chebera Churchura National Park – Wildlife Safari

Start the day with an early morning Game Drive, when wildlife is most active. Explore different habitats including savannah grasslands, woodlands, rivers, and wetlands while spotting elephants, waterbucks, bushbucks, warthogs, and many other mammals. Continue with a guided Nature Walk accompanied by an experienced park ranger, learning about the park’s unique ecosystem, medicinal plants, and conservation efforts. In the afternoon, enjoy another safari through areas rich in wildlife before returning to your lodge.

Day 03: Chebera Churchura – Kaffa Coffee Forest – Bonga

After breakfast, depart for the legendary Kaffa Coffee Forest, widely recognized as the birthplace of wild Arabica coffee. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided walk through the ancient rainforest where naturally growing coffee trees have flourished for centuries. Learn about Ethiopia’s unique coffee heritage and discover the journey of coffee from the forest to the cup. Visit a local Coffee Plantation and observe traditional harvesting and processing methods. Experience a freshly roasted Coffee Tasting and participate in an authentic Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony, where coffee is roasted, ground, and brewed using traditional techniques. Continue to Bonga for the evening.

Day 04: Bonga – Coffee Experience – Addis Ababa

After breakfast, visit a local Coffee Cooperative or processing station to witness the final stages of coffee preparation, including washing, drying, grading, and quality selection before export. Meet local coffee farmers and learn how sustainable farming practices help preserve Ethiopia’s unique coffee heritage. Before departing, enjoy the opportunity to purchase freshly roasted Ethiopian coffee directly from local producers.

After lunch, begin the drive back to Addis Ababa, arriving in the evening with unforgettable memories of Ethiopia’s spectacular wildlife, pristine forests, and the complete Seed-to-Cup Coffee Experience in the birthplace of Arabica coffee.
