Day 01: Arrival – Sightseeing Addis Ababa (The New Flower)
You will be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel. Refresh and begin your sightseeing of Addis Ababa with a drive up to Mount Entoto for a panoramic view of the city. Descend and visit the National Museum, where you will have a chance to see the oldest hominid fossil, ‘Lucy’. Proceed to visit the Holy Trinity Cathedral, built during WWII, followed by a visit to the Ethnographic Museum, which used to be the palace of Emperor Haile Selassie. Day 02: Fly to Bahir Dar
Fly north to Bahir Dar, capital of the Amhara region and situated on the shores of Lake Tana, the largest lake in Ethiopia. Bahir Dar is one of the best-planned cities in the country.

Morning: Boat trip on Lake Tana to explore island monasteries, including Ura Kidane Mihret on Zeghie peninsula with its colorful religious paintings and illuminated bibles in Ge’ez.

Afternoon: Visit Tississat Falls (‘Water that Smokes’), located about 32km south of Bahir Dar. Note: The falls may not be in full force due to a nearby hydroelectric power scheme. Overnight at Hotel (Bed and Breakfast)
Day 03: Drive to Gondar (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
Drive north to Gondar, the former capital of Ethiopia and home to the walled Royal Enclosure with its 17th-century castles.

Day 04: Gondar – Simien Mountains – Gondar
