After an early dinner at the camp, begin your night trek to the caldera to witness the boiling lava lake—one of only five in the world.

Overnight: Camping on the volcano rim.

Day 2: Volcano Sunrise & Drive to Hamed Ela

Watch the sunrise over the smoke and fire of the volcano before descending to the base camp for breakfast. Day 4: Lake Afdera & Fly back to Addis Ababa

Drive to the hypersaline Lake Afdera, a major site for salt production in Ethiopia. Take a buoyant swim in the lake or relax in the natural hot springs nearby. After lunch, return to Semera for your afternoon flight back to Addis Ababa, followed by a farewell dinner with traditional music and dance.
